Dear readers,
Don't fret. I'M ALIVE! Sorry for my brief hiatus. I just wanted to give you a quick update and let you know that Jason and I are both safe and back in the home country. I intend on finishing this blog even if a more fitting title for it now might be "gloriaWENTtochina.blogspot.ca" - har, har, har... Unlike most people, school for me doesn't start until next week, so I will try to post as much as I can before then. As a first-time blogger and backpacker, I've realized that sometimes there just isn't time to do both, especially if you want to soak in as much as possible when travelling. The unreliable internet in China doesn't help either, and not to make that my excuse, but the whole topic of internet in China could warrant a post of its own. Perhaps I'll let you ask Jason about that it because he has plenty to say and it can be pretty entertaining watching him hulk out over it. Anyhow, I hope you'll forgive me. I plan on continuing this blog in my free time until I feel it's complete.
